I was born in Vicenza, a city in Italy’s Veneto region near Venice. I grew up with two older sisters and two wonderful parents who gave us all the love they could. My mom stayed at home with us, while my dad served as the President of a local bank.
I studied Economics and Business Administration at Università Cattolica in Milan—some of the best years of my life. It’s where I formed friendships that remain strong to this day, even though we now live far apart.
I started my career in audit at Deloitte, where I spent more than four years. During that time, I led and supported several large engagements, including billion-dollar audits such as Vodafone Italia.
I wanted more—simply checking what others had done wasn’t the path I saw for myself. So I moved into Deloitte’s Transaction Services group, where we supported companies and private equity firms through the financial due diligence process in M&A.
Finally married the love of my life — my soulmate, my best friend… in a nutshell, my person. And yes, if you’re wondering: I was younger, stronger than I am now, and… somehow I could still jump that high (maybe it was just the adrenaline of the day!)
Apax Partners had just acquired a $1B company in Milan, Rhiag, and was looking for someone who could oversee Corporate Development from A to Z—from defining the strategy to executing acquisitions and leading integration. It was exactly the opportunity I had been waiting for.
It was time for me to leave my country and embark on a new adventure. A fantastic engineering and technology company based in Brussels was building its Corporate Development team and asked me to join and lead it. Those four years were extraordinary—driving acquisitions across the globe and eventually relocating to the United States in 2019, settling in Dallas, TX.
The day that changed my life forever: the day my daughter was born!If you’ve experienced it, you know exactly what I mean… it’s an indescribable feeling, a mix of emotions so big you can’t prepare for them. No one teaches you how to be a father; you learn in real time. Sometimes you get it right, sometimes you adjust along the way, but it’s the most meaningful journey I’ve ever taken.
All of a sudden, a fintech company in Lehi, Utah reached out—they were looking to acquire several startups in the space, and wanted me to lead that effort. How could I say no? I joined them and moved to Salt Lake City, where I still live today and enjoy every moment of it.
Over all those years in M&A, I realized something important: I wasn’t just acquiring companies—I was evaluating people, plans, and cultures. I discovered that my real strength was blending finance, people, and technology to drive growth. So when Korn Ferry approached me to open the market for finance and accounting interim placements in Utah and along the West Coast, it immediately felt like the right next step.
After several successful years building the Utah and West Coast markets, I chose to join Conexus—the fastest-growing recruiting firm—as a Partner, with the goal of helping scale the business nationwide and further accelerate the exceptional platform built by three outstanding founders. My focus is on delivering senior-level interim and permanent leaders across finance, accounting, HR, and technology.
